Great people, nice studio, good rates!
— ROB MOOSE (BON IVER, ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS, yMUSIC)
I reached out to Dauphin Street Sound for mixing work after recording a six-song demo at home. The studio is like Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory for musicians. It is packed with the best analog and digital gear money can buy, tastefully designed for maximum sonic character, and staffed with some of the nicest people you could ever meet. They also have great rates for independent artists.

I was hesitant to put my music into someone else’s hands, but Chief Engineer Keylan Laxton’s technical ability and creativity took the mixes to another level entirely. If you’re looking for that “analog sheen” and the chance to work with some very talented, laid-back people, Dauphin Street Sound is where you need to go!

What a great experience we had with DSS! Gorgeous studio, wonderful people. And we had a lot of fun!

Our band, Infant Richard and the Delta Stones, had the pleasure of recording our second EP at Dauphin Street Sound. Everyone involved shows that their momma raised them right, DSS exudes Southern hospitality. Ellen made scheduling hassle-free. Keylan is a top-notch engineer and made the recording process as smooth as Mobile Bay. Jake and Luke Peavy, along with Ben Jernigan, put together the nicest, technologically advanced studio around at a price you can’t beat. They have an in-house Grammy Award winning producer by the name of Trina Shoemaker who will take your album to the next level.
